"Remi" is operated by The Visionaries (Pty) Ltd, 34 Prestwich Street, Cape Town, Western Cape 8001 ("we", "us"). By subscribing to Remi (a "Clinic") or by messaging/calling a clinic served by Remi (an "End User"), you agree to these terms.
Remi is an AI front-desk assistant that, on a clinic's behalf, answers calls and WhatsApp messages, books, reschedules and cancels appointments, sends reminders and waitlist offers, and reports activity to the clinic. Remi is a software service — not a medical provider, and it does not give medical advice.
We provide Remi on a subscription basis under the tier the Clinic selects (Starter, Standard or Premium). We may offer a free trial (typically two weeks); at the end of the trial the subscription begins unless the Clinic cancels. We may improve, change or discontinue features, with reasonable notice of material adverse changes.
Fees are the monthly amounts shown at sign-up (currently Starter R2,500 / Standard R4,500 / Premium R6,500 per month, excl. VAT where applicable), billed monthly in advance via our payment provider (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. A Clinic may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current paid month; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may suspend the service for non-payment after reasonable notice.
The Clinic is responsible for: the accuracy of its services, hours, pricing and booking rules; honouring bookings Remi makes; complying with all laws applicable to its practice; and acting as the responsible party under POPIA for its patients' personal information.
You may not use Remi to break the law, send spam or unlawful marketing, harass any person, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or process personal information without a lawful basis.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. For clinics, the POPIA Operator Agreement governs our processing of patient data on the clinic's behalf.
Remi uses automated AI systems that can occasionally be wrong, misunderstand, or be unavailable. The Clinic should review important bookings and keep a human fallback for urgent or clinical matters. End Users should confirm appointment details with the clinic and not rely on Remi for medical or emergency needs — in an emergency, contact emergency services.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, third-party outages (e.g. Twilio, WhatsApp, our AI provider) and events beyond our reasonable control may affect the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost bookings. Our total liability to a Clinic in any 12-month period is limited to the fees that Clinic paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies).
Either party may terminate for material breach not remedied within 14 days of written notice. On termination we will, on request, delete or return personal information as set out in the Operator Agreement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
